We understand why children are afraid of the dark, but why are men afraid of light. Plato
Free consensual sexuality is repressed almost everywhere in the world. Artists, through their pens and paint brushes poke fun at this repression. And they offer joyful juicy alternatives! My effort here is to put the art of making love back in its rightful place as one of the most wondrous and pleasurable of human activities. Sensual art and literature can help to educate us as it shows others from every time and place in history who have dared to shake off the puritan shackles that suffocates so many cultures and religions

Many art-lovers don't appreciate the combination of erotica and art.
Art is seen as something at a higher level. Erotic art of famous artists
like Rodin, Picasso and Schiele is ignored, because it could injure
some one's honor. Sometimes eroticism is a motive to paint nudes.
Except this argument the beauty or the provocative plays a part.
For me it is fun and exciting to draw erotic poses.
It is the art to get an erotic element in a drawing.
Some statements of artists:
Picasso, "Yes, art is dangerous. If it is chaste, it is not art"
Auguste Rodin, "People say, that I think a lot about women...,
but there is nothing more important..."
"Sexual modesty cannot then in any simple way
be identified with the use of clothing, nor shamelessness
with the absence of clothing and total or partial nakedness.
There are circumstances in which nakedness is not immodest...
Nakedness as such is not to be equated with physical
shamelessness. Immodesty is present only when nakedness
plays a negative role with regard to the value of the person...
The human body is not in itself shameful, nor for the same reasons
are sensual reactions, and human sensuality in general.
Shamelessness (just like shame and modesty) is a function
of the interior of a person."
Pope John Paul II (nee Karol Cardinal Wojtyla)
